This tour includes the Arrival and Departure via a modern top of the line Aerial Tram, providing a magnificent birds-eye-view of the Tropical Forest, which you will get to know and understand thanks to the detailed information provided by the naturalist guides throughout this Costa Rica’s attraction.
In brief this attraction includes the guided visit to an Iguana’s Pound, a Butterflies Garden, Trails in primary forest with giant centuries-old trees, Orchid & Bromeliad Gardens, Countryman’s Farm offering a glance to Costa Rica’s ancestors culture and lifestyle with the exhibit of a Sugar Mill pulled by Oxen, and an old indigenous residences. Also a very entertain Hibiscus Labyrinth (a natural maze), Cactus Collection, and a Crocodile breeding pond, among others. The tour last about 4 hours including lunch time.
A BUFFET STYLE LUNCH:
One of the highlights of this tour is its delicious buffet style lunch cooked over wood-stove which includes 16 delicious local dishes, including meats, chopped vegetables grown there, several types of beans, tortillas, and others, of Real Costa Rican food. It includes also varieties of salads (green and cold salads) two types of desserts such as flan, rice pudding, and coconut or papaya honeys. For drinks you have Natural choices, Costa Rican Coffee and Tea. There is also sodas and domestic beer at your expense. Enjoy it!
RECOMMENDATIONS
We suggest that visitors arrive early in the morning. They should bring comfortable footwear for the hikes, light clothing, hat, sun block and insect repellent. If guests elect to take the Turu Ba Ri Park tour they should use long pants, socks and closed-toed shoes. Guests are advised to drink water during the hikes.
CLIMATE
Turu Ba Ri is located in the driest part of the transition forest (dry to tropical humid). The climate is hot and humid. The average annual temperature is 30 Celsius/86 Fahrenheit, and during the months of May to October it rains a little, mainly in the afternoon.
SCHEDULE
The Park opens year-round from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The first Nature Guided tour starts at 9:00 a.m. and the Tours run every hour until 2:00 p.m. (the last tour ends at 5:00 p.m.).
